Laundry in Siquijor - The reality of Adult life

If you’re a Digital Nomad, one of the first things you need to map out in your new “home” (aka the place you now pretend to live) is:
✅ Where to do your laundry
✅ How long it takes to be clean and ready for you
✅ How much it costs
And after more than two months living in Siquijor, I realise this post is long overdue—kind of like some of my laundry batches. 😅
As usual, I’ll focus on San Juan, the main tourist hub of Siquijor and the future home of our Eden Coworking Space in Siquijor (yes, subtle plug, wink wink).

🏝️ Laundry in Siquijor—Where Can You Find It?
Everywhere. Seriously.
Drive along the main road in San Juan and you’ll see small signs saying “LAUNDRY” every few meters. Laundry shops in Siquijor pop up like magic—except instead of granting you three wishes, they take your dirty socks and return them smelling like a tropical dream.
Most of these places are small family-run businesses, operating straight out of their homes. And let me tell you—the service is top-notch. Clothes come back clean, fresh, and folded (and sometimes even ironed, if you’re lucky).
💰 How Much Does Laundry Cost in Siquijor?
As of 2025, the standard price for a 3kg batch is between 170 and 250 pesos.
💡 No more, no less. If someone charges you 500 pesos, either they’re scamming you or they’re secretly adding a VIP spa treatment to your underwear.
Honestly? It’s cheap. And considering how much I sweat under the 30°C sun, I’d happily pay double just to smell like a decent human being again.

🌟 My Favorite Laundry Spot in Siquijor
There’s this tiny, almost hidden laundry shop that barely has a sign.
But once a week, you’ll find me there—either dropping off a new batch of clothes or picking up a fresh one, inhaling deeply like a laundry addict.
Why?

Because the clothes smell REALLY good after the wash. I mean, REALLY good. Like, “I want to hug myself all day” good.
After sweating all day from riding my scooter, snorkeling, hiking, and generally existing in the tropics, clean clothes feel like paradise.
How to get my favourite Laundry Shop
So, fellow nomads, next time you land in Siquijor, don’t worry about laundry—just follow the signs, enjoy the fresh scents, and keep living your island dream. 🌴✨
