Supermarkets in Siquijor, because we Digital Nomads are "locals"

If you’re like me, you don’t travel to a beautiful place as a Digital Nomad just for a week and then leave. No—you stay longer, soak in the vibe, and truly experience life there.
And while eating out is great, doing it every single day? Not the best move—for your wallet or your health. Sometimes, I just miss cooking my own food, having a chilled time at home, and sharing a meal with other Digital Nomads.
So, when that craving for home-cooked food hits, where do you go for groceries in Siquijor?
First, Meet the ‘Sari-Sari’

If you’re new to the Philippines, you’ll quickly get familiar with Sari-Sari stores—tiny neighborhood shops selling a little bit of everything. Need shampoo? Tomato sauce? Snacks? A quick beer? They’ve got you covered.
They’re everywhere. And yes, Siquijor is no exception.
But here’s the thing: they’re small and limited. If you need to do a proper grocery run, you’ll want to check out the two biggest stores in San Juan (where our coworking space will be located).
🥇 Quick Silver – The Biggest & Cheapest Grocery in San Juan

If you need the most options at the best prices, Quick Silver is your go-to. They literally just moved (March 12, 2025) to a bigger location because the old one was too small for their growing stock.
Here, you’ll find everything—from conditioner and light bulbs to fresh produce and cigarettes. And in my experience, it’s the cheapest grocery store in San Juan.
📍 How to Get There
Quick Silver is super close to our coworking space—just a 2-minute drive, and you’re there. Oh, and yes—you’re totally welcome to bring your groceries back and cook at our coworking space. We’ve got you covered!
🥈 Island Deli – More Premium, Open Late

A solid second option is Island Deli. It’s smaller and pricier than Quick Silver, but they stock higher-quality products—perfect if you’re planning a fancy dinner with your fellow Digital Nomads.
Another big plus? They stay open late—until 10 PM daily. So if you need something last-minute, this is where you go.
📍 How to Get There
Island Deli isn’t as close to our coworking space as Quick Silver, but still—just a 5-minute drive, and you’re there. Help yourself!
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re stocking up for the week, planning a dinner party, or just craving a taste of home, Siquijor’s got you covered. Now, time to grab some groceries and start cooking! 🍳🔥
