  • Coco Groove Beach (2025), what is all the fuss about?

I go to this beach every day… But Not for Sunbathing This isn’t  your typical "let’s-go-for-a-swim" beach. No, this beach is home to one of the most stunning marine sanctuaries on the island. This turtle is EVERYDAY there in Tubod What Makes It Special? Marine sanctuaries are protected zones where fishing is forbidden  (and trust me, Filipinos love fishing). Boats can’t  get too close either, all to safeguard the incredible coral reefs and marine life  beneath the surface. This school of fish is not always there, but I see them in Tubod like once a week at least If you’re into snorkeling or freediving  like I am, this is— hands down —the most beautiful spot in Siquijor. Come here around 7 AM or 4 PM,  and chances are, you’ll see me in the water. Say hi! Tubod Marine sanctuary is my second home Beyond the Water: The Beach Itself This long, beautiful, and exceptionally clean beach  gets daily care from Coco Grove Resort , the fancy beachfront resort right there. Speaking of which… Coco Grove: The Fanciest Resort in Siquijor? I could be wrong, but as far as I know, Coco Grove is THE most luxurious resort on the island. Prices? Up to ₱10,000 per night. By the beach, you’ll also find bars and restaurants  run by the resort. Lunch?  No problem, just walk in. Dinner?  You need a reservation.  It’s fully booked every night. Coco Groove beach is lovely and NOT BUSY Sunsets, Swimming, and… No Swings? Sunset Magic Unlike Paliton Beach, where people show up just  for the sunset, this beach has visitors all day long.  But don’t worry— this is Siquijor.  It’s never too crowded. For now. Swimming? Absolutely. Unlike Paliton, here, you can walk just 10 meters in  and already be in deep water. No waves or strong currents.  Most of the time, it feels like swimming in a lake. Swings? Nope. If you’re dreaming of those huge beach swings,  you’ll need to head to Paliton Beach. How Much Does It Cost? ✅ Free Entry:  No payment needed to visit this beach— just go and enjoy!  🏝️☀️ ✅ No Parking Fee:  Whether you're on a scooter 🛵 or tricycle 🚲, parking is completely free.  🎉 However, if you want to snorkel in the Marine Sanctuary  🐠, there’s a small fee: 🎟️ Marine Sanctuary Entry Fee:  ₱100 🤿 Snorkeling Gear Rental:  Around ₱400  (includes mask, snorkel, and fins) If you bring your own gear 🎒, you only pay the ₱100 entry fee —definitely worth it for some of the best snorkeling on the island!  🌊🐟✨ Best Way to Enter the Beach (If You're Not Staying at Coco Grove) If you're not a guest at Coco Grove Resort  (which is most of us! 😆), the best way  to access this beach is through the Tubod Marine Sanctuary entrance . 🌊🐠 🚲 Park your scooter there—completely FREE! 🛵✨ 💰 No entrance fee, no parking fee—just pure beach enjoyment!  🏖️😎 Note: Its only 10 min away from our coworking space Timing Tip! Around 4 PM, the parking lot gets PACKED  🏍️🚗—that's when most people arrive to enjoy the beach (for obvious reasons 😉🌅). So if you’re coming late, be ready to squeeze in! Big shoutout to Coco Grove Resort  for keeping this beach free for everyone ! 🎉👏 Got Questions? Drop them below! I’ll try to reply the same day. 🚀
